In the Learn to Fly Discovery Center at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh Melis- sa Raddatz bustles with purpose. People are drawn to this sturd
y
oung woman of medium height,
with her lively light blue eyes and ever-
present genuine smile framed by shoul-
der-length dark brown hair. She is not
a pilot or flight instructor, but she an-
swers all manner of aviation questions
to the best of her ability and directs peo-
ple to more informed human and print-
ed resources. In between questions she
rings up merchandise sales and rico-
chets around the corner to see if anyone
needs anything.

Connecting the waypoints of her life,
Melissa Raddatz works on the soon to be functional Garmin G1000 training aid, built by the second year avionics students.
